OVERVIEW
A series of three book covers inspired by episodes from the Mysterious Death collection by Crime Junkie. Each cover translates an unsolved case into a visual narrative through an investigative, evidence-driven design approach.
STRATEGY
Capture the tension and ambiguity of unresolved cases by visually mimicking the structure of a crime investigation, creating a system that feels analytical, layered, and immersive while remaining cohesive across the series.
APPROACH
Designed a unified cover system using a consistent typographic hierarchy, grid structure, and visual language. Each composition is built around key pieces of evidence, connected through red string lines that guide the viewer across the layout, linking summaries, notes, and imagery to reflect the process of piecing together a case.
OUTCOME
A cohesive and concept-driven series that balances narrative clarity with visual intrigue, using production design to organize complex information while reinforcing the tone and mystery of each story.
